And the best part is, you'll not only see what it does for them, you'll feel what it does for you.  Flexible schedule, mileage and expenses reimbursed. Do activities you both enjoy like movies, coffee, sports, etc.

GROUP OPPORTUNITIES
Small groups are cordially invited to assist with activities at Guild Incorporated. The Community Support Program (CSP) office is located in West Saint Paul (only five miles south of downtown St. Paul) and serves adults four afternoons and one evening each week. Your group can volunteer one time or on a regular basis. The event calendar is established at least one month in advance so plan to prearrange when your group will participate. Individuals and teams of two can also be involved in these activities. All group members must be at least age 18 or age 16 & 17 if accompanied by a chaperone.

Artsy-Crafty or Build a Birdhouse
Share the joy and creativity of arts & crafts or building projects! Spend time with some artistic folks at the CSP. Activities can range from knitting, stamping, scrap booking or assembly of crafts. Advance the skills of people interested in learning about woodworking or leather-craft, beginning level. You can choose and plan the project for the group and be reimbursed for pre-approved expenses or help with a pre-planned activity.
Build a birdhouse or other simple crafts on a weekday afternoon.

Exhilarating Exercise
Promote exercise as a method to improve health. Assist with our beginning level Walking/Exercise Club which meets on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Mentor healthy activities or lead a class, if you are interested.

Night at the Movies
Watch a movie on a Tuesday evening. Options include arriving early (4 pm) to help set up the room. Popcorn can be provided or your group could bring treats to share. A video can be pre-selected or your group could bring one (must be coordinated with CSP staff). Movie starts around 4:30 pm and is finished about 7:00 pm. It is appreciated if your group would stay to chat with the moviegoers afterwards and help clean up (completed by 7:30 pm).

Birthday Bash & Let's Play Bingo or Game Day
Join the monthly party to celebrate birthdays of CSP members. The afternoon party is usually the second Friday of each month, but there is flexibility in establishing the date. Cake and refreshments can be provided or your group could supply them. You can be creative and bring decorations or bingo prizes. Other Fridays, play cards or fun board games with our members.

Stone Soup
Remember the story of how everyone contributes to a large pot of boiling water and creates a delicious soup? Join our Stone Soup meal by bringing or preparing the main dish, soup, or side dish, and helping to clean up afterwards for a Thursday or Friday lunch-time. Teach a class about healthy food preparation or budget meals on a Thursday afternoon.

Super Saturday
Special activities are scheduled once per month on a Saturday afternoon, such as bingo & brats. Your group can help set up, serve and clean up.

Sponsor a Smile or Welcome Kit
Gift cards and bus passes are accepted year-round, $10 increments preferred.
It's a terrific collection drive for any sized group of youth or adults. We also collect toiletries for distribution (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc).
